This year’s celebration of two great human rights leaders, Dolores Huerta and Cesar Chavez, will take place at Hamlin Middle School on Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 4:30 - 7:30 p.m. The annual Dolores Huerta / Cesar Chavez Celebration is hosted by Springfield Public Schools, together with the Springfield Alliance for Equity and Respect (SAfER)

SPS’s Teaching and Learning Department has added the Magnetic Reading Foundations curriculum to all K-2 classrooms.
Springfield Public Schools (SPS) Summer Learning programs, including KITS, SPARK, Credit Recovery, Strong Start, and partnerships with Connected Lane County served more than 1,800 participating students.

At its August 26, 2024 Work Session, the Springfield Public Schools Board of Directors selected Heather Quaas-Annsa to fill the vacant Position 2 seat. The Board unanimously approved her appointment following nearly two hours of candidate interviews.
